An immersive virtual experience is a great way to showcase your business and connect in person and virtual participants. Users can virtually visit the factory floor, office space or interact with 3D modelled or digitally captured products in a virtual setting. In person attendees can navigate through the experience on the stand – via touch screen / haptics or VR. Live polls, collaboration boards, social walls and gamification area all used to connect in-person and virtual audiences.

Camera techniques will play a huge part in how engaging your content will be.



During the planning phase, consider how the camera will move and how you will be able to edit the shots together:
• Moving shots as well as still shots
• Tracking and panning
• Tilt up/down
• Steady cam/dolly/tracks/crane
• Varying camera angles, and multiple cameras
Camera movement makes for exciting viewing, but is not always appropriate for the content.


Consider also vision mixing techniques to engage but not confuse the audience:
• Frame composition
• Slow versus fast paced
• Highlighting individual speakers versus wide shots
Skilful mixing and editing is used to establish context and to bring the audience in to the mix – to give them a front row seat at the centre of the action.

Bringing a global C-Suite audience together


Bray Leino Events was challenged with evolving a leading global thought-leadership Conference into a fully digital experience for over 800 attendees. As a starting point, our team built key objectives with the client:


• Provide a platform which delivered a Conference that felt familiar to delegates when it was not possible to run physical events.


• Present unique insights into key and current industry topics and developments using the experience and knowledge of the most recognised experts from across the industry


Bring together business leaders and Subject Matter Experts to drive best practice through structured and informal networking opportunities



To meet these objectives, our team put together a content strategy and conference agenda which provided delegates with engaging and varied content over a 3-day period. We conducted all speaker filming across a 3-week period utilising high quality production equipment and branded intro/outro/ motion graphics to ensure every session had a polished and professional look. We also worked with the client to establish a clearly defined event running order and oversaw the delivery of this:


29 sessions over the 3-day period
38 speakers from across the globe
A mix of pre-recorded and live speakers with interactive Q&A sessions and video

An immersive digital event experience


Howden has evolved into a global leader in energy efficient air handling solutions with more than 65 locations across the globe. They have adapted their strategy to become digital solutions innovators across multiple sectors.


To celebrate its digital achievements and demonstrate its new approach, Howden commissioned Bray Leino Events to host Howden Uptime Virtual 2020 – a two-day virtual gathering of more than 800 customers and colleagues across the globe. We designed and created the platform which provided visitors with an immersive 3D experience where they could navigate an array of content
including live presentations, panel discussions, interactive tools and activities, and
augmented reality demonstrations through which they had direct
access to Howden experts from around the world.

On-stand plenary and demo sessions can be presented on the show floor by physical and digital speakers. Presentation and demo spaces should feel more like a TV studio than a pop-up soapbox. Leaps in hardware and broadband internet now allow sudio format presentations to be accomplished in a smaller footprint and at a reduced cost, without a reduction in quality.


Broadcast quality cameras, lighting and connectivity are essential to stream to and interact with virtual participants alongside in-person attendees.


'Gig in a box' solutions allow speakers to present from wherever they are whilst still appearing professional. These solutions can be couriered to your speaker in advance and include a full HD remote PTZ camera, built-in lighting and professional microphone, all of which can be operated remotely by technicians at the venue or at another location entirely.

As a hybrid plenary caters to both physical and virtual attendees, choice of venue is key; thinking about what people will see and hear from both points of view is of utmost importance. There must be enough space for attendees, and AV hardware, to create the right environment. This especially includes thinking on height:
for rigging
for banners and decorative elements
for creating a strong ambience that will enrich the experience for all participants


The camera lens acts as the remote audience, so placement of this is key for an intimate atmosphere. A good presenter will maintain eye contact with the lens to keep remote participants engaged without ignoring the physical audience in the room. A delicate balance is required to reach all of the audience for the full duration of the presentation. This especially applies when there is scripted content; and on these occasions, a teleprompter will most likely be required so that lens-eye view is maintained.

Virtual Wow!


Early in the switch to virtual we decided not to create our own Virtual Platform. Our clients required a different approach for each event, and we needed to be able to flex between experience designs – whether the priority was immersive storytelling, B2B matchmaking (with AI built in), multi-language delivery or something completely different. We have put 50+ platforms through their paces and partnered with a select few leading providers.

UK Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai


Expo 2020 Dubai – often promoted as ‘The World’s Greatest Show’ – is expected to attract the largest number of international visitors in World Expo history. Its focus on bringing nations together to share solutions to some of the planet’s greatest challenges will be more relevant than ever in a post-pandemic world.


Under the theme ‘Innovating for a Shared Future’, the UK Pavilion offers an awe-inspiring glimpse into the future, exploring everything from artificial intelligence to the commercialisation of space. Bray Leino Events was awarded the Event Management Services contract for all activities at the UK Pavilion during Expo; the agency is managing the full event calendar, sponsor and partner programmes, venue and logistics, and PR and communications.


As part of the contract and the ‘One year to go’ campaign, our in-house creative and digital teams jointly designed, developed and hosted a web-based, fully immersive, virtual tour of the UK Pavilion concept.

As a hybrid plenary caters to both physical and virtual attendees, choice of venue is key; thinking about what people will see and hear from both points of view is of utmost importance. There must be enough space for attendees, and AV hardware, to create the right environment. This especially includes thinking on height:

The camera lens acts as the remote audience, so placement of this is key for an intimate atmosphere. Howden has evolved into a global leader in energy efficient air handling solutions with more than 65 locations across the globe. They have adapted their strategy to become digital solutions innovators across multiple sectors.


To celebrate its digital achievements and demonstrate its new approach, Howden commissioned Bray Leino Events to host Howden Uptime Virtual 2020 – a two-day virtual gathering of more than 800 customers and colleagues across the globe. We designed and created the platform which provided visitors with an immersive 3D experience where they could navigate an array of content
including live presentations, panel discussions, interactive tools and activities, and augmented reality demonstrations through which they had direct
access to Howden experts from around the world.

Bray Leino Events was challenged with evolving a leading global thought-leadership Conference into a fully digital experience for over 800 attendees. As a starting point, our team built key objectives with the client:


• Provide a platform which delivered a Conference that felt familiar to delegates when it was not possible to run physical events


• Present unique insights into key and current industry topics and developments using the experience and knowledge of the most recognised experts from across the industry

To meet these objectives, our team put together a content strategy and conference agenda which provided delegates with engaging and varied content over a 3-day period. We conducted all speaker filming across a 3-week period utilising high quality production equipment and branded intro/outro motion graphics to ensure every session had a polished and professional look. We also worked with the client to establish a clearly defined event running order and oversaw the delivery of this:
